Shuford's Smokehouse
Start at 924 Signal Mountain Rd1. Shuford's says it smokes all its meat with hickory wood in Southern Pride smokers1. Its menu lists pork, brisket, turkey and ham sandwiches and plates, half and whole slabs of ribs, Brunswick stew, a Bar-B-Que stuffed potato and banana pudding2. Its site says it does not take third-party delivery orders or Apple Pay and tap to pay, and that hours may vary without notice111.
Edley's Bar-B-Que
Across to the North Shore at 205 Manufacturers Road, Suite 1103. Edley's menu, shared across its locations, says it smokes its meats with white oak daily and lists the Tuck Special (sliced brisket, an over-easy egg, red and white BBQ sauce, pickles and spicy pimento cheese), burnt ends over a grits casserole, St. Louis cut ribs and Nashville hot links4.

Barque
South of the river to 2309 East Main St5. Barque's menu lists Load 'Em Up Nachos, Texas brisket chili made with fresh brisket, and The Standard, a sandwich with slaw, pickles, pickled onion and a choice of pork, chicken, brisket or burnt ends6. Arrive before it closes at 7pm5.
Sugar's Ribs
Up to 2450 15th Avenue7. Sugar's menu lists spare ribs by the half and full slab, pork butt, chopped brisket, a half chicken, house-made smoked sausage, a Q for 2 sampler and Jesslyn's Banana Pudding8. It also sells ribs "unfinished" with instructions to finish them at home8.
Little Coyote
End at 3950 Tennessee Avenue in St. Elmo9. Little Coyote calls itself Chef Erik Niel's love letter to smoked meats and fresh tortillas, with brisket and pork shoulder plus smoked pork collar "carnitas" and smoked beef chuck eye10. It says everything it serves is gluten-free except a few beers, and it does not take reservations910. Little Coyote says the 2026 MICHELIN Guide American South named it a Bib Gourmand for a second time12.
