Who runs it
BBQ Trail Guide is run by Erik Peterson in Williamson County, Tennessee. We start with Tennessee: spot listings, driving trails and city guides.
How we work
- Every fact links to where it came from: the spot’s own site or menu, a public record, or a published review.
- We add a spot only when we can verify its address from a public source and confirm it’s open. Closed spots stay marked closed.
- Lists are alphabetical or by route. We don’t rank spots.
- When we don’t have data for a section, we leave the section out instead of guessing.
- Price: our own cost guide, not a ranking. We take the typical meal range from the spot's current menu and use its midpoint: $ under $12, $$ $12 to $20, $$$ $20 to $35, $$$$ over $35.
- Paid partner listings are labeled as paid and never affect which spots our guides include.
