Where to Order a Smoked Ham for Christmas in Tennessee
Want a smoked ham for Christmas without running the smoker yourself? Here is what Tennessee spots had posted as of Nov 5, 2026, how to ask your local spot, and how to reheat it safely.
Every detail below comes from the spot’s own site or from FoodSafety.gov, linked in the sources. Prices and offers can change, so check with the spot before you count on an order. This guide starts in Tennessee, and we’ll add Christmas ham offers as spots post them.
Where to order a smoked ham for Christmas in Tennessee
As of Nov 5, 2026, we had not found a Tennessee barbecue spot that had posted a 2026 Christmas ham order on its own site or socials. Rather than fill this list with last year’s menus, we’re showing what we could confirm: a country ham house that ships, and a short guide to asking the spot you already like.

Holiday ham in Memphis
No Memphis spot we checked had posted a 2026 Christmas ham order as of Nov 5, 2026. Three Little Pigs Bar-B-Q, at 5145 Quince Rd., Memphis 38117, lists ham on its everyday menu, but not a whole holiday ham, so call and ask. Benton's is a ham house in Madisonville, not a barbecue spot. Its site says its country hams are cured with salt, brown sugar and sodium nitrite, typically aged 9 to 10 months, and sold unsmoked or hickory-smoked, and that it ships anywhere in the US. It had not published a Christmas order deadline when we checked, so if you need a ham by a set date, call (423) 442-5003 before you order.
Smoked ham near me: how to ask your local spot
Plenty of spots smoke ham all year, and some take holiday ham orders without posting them online. One example from a spot’s own site:
- Buddy’s Bar-B-Q in Knoxville listed a smoked spiral sliced ham starting at $79.99 as of Nov 5, 2026 on its Thanksgiving page, and says prices may vary by location. That listing is for Thanksgiving; it had not posted a Christmas page when we checked.
When you call, ask:
- Do you take whole ham orders for Christmas, and what’s the order deadline?
- Is it a fresh ham smoked in house, a cured ham you smoke, or a country ham?
- Is it sliced, spiral cut or whole, and about how much does it weigh?
- Which days can I pick it up, and does it come hot or chilled to reheat?
- What’s the price, and is a deposit due when I order?

Reheating and serving
These temperatures are from the USDA’s FoodSafety.gov safe minimum internal temperature chart. Use a food thermometer in the thickest part of the ham.
- Raw ham: 145°F (63°C), then rest 3 minutes.
- Precooked ham, to reheat: 165°F (74°C).
- Exception: cooked hams packaged in USDA-inspected plants: reheat to 140°F (60°C) instead.
If your spot sends heating instructions with the ham, follow those too.
FAQ
Do I need to order a Christmas ham ahead?
Plan on it. As of Nov 5, 2026, none of the Tennessee barbecue spots we checked had posted a 2026 Christmas ham order deadline, so call your spot and ask for its deadline and pickup dates.
What is the difference between a country ham and a smoked ham?
Country ham is dry-cured. Benton's Smoky Mountain Country Hams says it cures its hams with salt, brown sugar and sodium nitrite, ages them about 9 to 10 months, and sells them unsmoked or hickory-smoked. Barbecue spots vary, so ask yours whether its ham is a fresh ham it smokes in house, a cured ham or a country ham.
How hot should I reheat a cooked ham?
FoodSafety.gov lists 165°F (74°C) for reheating a precooked ham. The exception: reheat cooked hams packaged in USDA-inspected plants to 140°F (60°C) instead. Raw ham needs 145°F (63°C), then a 3-minute rest. Check with a food thermometer.
Where can I order a country ham in Tennessee?
Benton's Smoky Mountain Country Hams, a ham house in Madisonville, sells whole hickory smoked country hams online, listed at $88 as of Nov 5, 2026. Its shop says orders may ship within 3 to 5 business days.
