Nashville-style barbecue · Sylvan Park
Edley's white oak barbecue in Sylvan Park.
Edley's Sylvan Park location is on Murphy Road, southwest of downtown, near the greenways and McCabe Golf Course.1 Will and Catharine Newman founded Edley's in 2011 in 12 South and named it for Will's late grandfather, Edley Newman. Meats are smoked low and slow over Southern white oak.2
Visit Franklin credits Newman with creating Nashville-style hot barbecue, using a fermented red habanero pepper mash.3
