Why go

Butchertown Hall opened to the public February 14, 2015, in Germantown.4 The idea goes back to 2011 and Terrell Raley, a Texas Hill Country native inspired by Central Texas meat markets.5 The name comes from Germantown's old nickname, "Butchertown," after the German immigrants who worked as butchers in the neighborhood.4

The kitchen is built around an open-fire hearth and a custom smoker. Steaks, carne asada and pollo asado go over live fire, and brisket smokes low and slow.5 The grill is a Grillworks Infierno 96.4
